A Beautiful Sunday

Sunday, April 27. Hang around the Place Beaubourg watching the usual show. Walk over to Shakespeare & Co. to look for books for Marina. It is a beautiful day, must be at least 70 degrees and there are hordes of people everywhere. Watch the rollerbladers on the Pont au Double next to Notre Dame. They slalom around little cups set up on the street and today a line of 6 of them go through the course together, holding hands. A great day to be outside. Sit in the sun at Notre Dame, reading the books I've just bought: "Me Talk Pretty One Day" by Dave Sedaris, and a book of John Updike short stories. Re Sedaris: I have to wipe tears from my eyes, I'm laughing so hard.
