Thursday, April 24. Beautiful, beautiful weather today: blue sky and puffy white clouds.
Grammar class. I had written a short composition in class on Tuesday about my experience of buying the Radu Lupu CD, listening to it and then buying a ticket to the concert (La Cause is that Thierry told me about Radu Lupu; La Consequence is that I am now 75 euros poorer!). So he hands it back to me today with corrections and, on the back, what looks to me like a brush and black ink drawing of Radu Lupu playing a piano a queue (the French expression for a grand piano). Brushwork very fluid, like caligraphy almost. He really is an artist as well as a brilliant teacher. Everyone hangs on his every word.
Marina (classmate from Italy) asks if I will tutor her in English. Having now mastered two languages (Italian and French), she now wants to perfect a third! She's also a lawyer, has a Masters in Tax from l'universite de paris.
