From Paris to Phoenix (in one day)

Monday, March 24. Jed leaves my apartment this morning at a little after 6 a.m. to get the 6:26 a.m. RER from Chatelet to Charles de Gaulle airport. It still seems strange, having grown-up children who are completely capable of getting themselves to the airport in a foreign country. He sends an email from his Blackberry letting me know he's on the train!

When he arrives home in New York, he sends an IM to let me know he's there (about 1:30 p.m. New York time). He's unpacking and repacking his suitcase, going into the office, then at 5:30 p.m., going back to the airport to get a flight to Phoenix, where he will be at a conference until Thursday. Talk about a very long day. I think he gets into Phoenix at about 1:00 a.m. local time which will be (I think) 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning in Paris.

It has been in the 30s and 40s while Jed has been in Paris; we checked the weather and it looks like high 80s in Phoenix. From Freezing France to Arid Arizona.

It's cold and pouring rain. Trying to catch up on blog. Change sheets, laundry, clean kitchen, dishwasher etc etc - and rest! We really packed it in this weekend. It was wonderful to have Jed here. He's fun to have around, and he appreciates everything that Paris has to offer!!
