Fernanda

Thursday, March 27. Blue sky and sunshine. Not too cold. Rain showers during grammar class, then sun again! Grammar class topics: L'opposition et la concession. Trust me, three hours of grammar is a lot of grammar!

This class is so large (18 students) that haven't really gotten to know my classmates other than the few I have sat near. The ones I have met are from Italy, Iran (Ashkan), Brazil (Fernanda), Poland and Uzbekistan! The young woman from Uzbekistan is named Delia, is quite beautiful and speaks French fluently.

I'm really happy to have met Fernanda. She's a delightful young woman from Brazil who is a lawyer (OK we won't hold that against her!). She worked for KPMG in Brazil for 6 years and now has been accepted to the Masters in Tax program at NYU. She goes to the US in June. Of course, she also speaks English. And she has an EU passport because her grandmother was Italian. She will switch to a different class next week, but we will get together for coffee. And then we can get together in New York!
