NOT The Top Ten

Friday, November 9. Sunshine. All day.

How to have a great day in Paris without even trying hard:

-Tour an amazing house designed by Le Corbusier;

-Walk through a beautiful garden which has what must be one of the last hand-cranked carrousels in the world;

-Visit a fabulous mansion that contains, among many other things, the largest collection of Berthe Morisot paintings anywhere to say nothing of the famous Impression: Sunrise by Monet;
-Ride a train;

-Shop in a bookstore that is spread out among five different buildings;

-Watch a production of Ionesco's La Cantatrice Chauve that has been playing in the same tiny theatre for 50 years;

-Dine in a lively cafe with a piano-man banging out tunes;

-Browse in another bookshop;

-Watch 200 cyclists leave from a big square for a 20 km tour around the city at 10 p.m.

-Walk home.

And none of these things would even make it onto a list of Top Ten Things To Do In Paris.
